Silvermine East to St James / Muizenberg Peak

Follow me athletes - I know the way (most of the time)

Draw near athletes, for we are about to embark on a little adventure. We're taking on an EYB first.

This Sunday we head towards either St James or Muizenberg Peak. It's a cheeky little 3-3.5hr hike that takes us from the Silvermine East Car park along the Upper Steenberg ridge and then to what promises to be one of the more spectacular view spots around.

We can decide on the day which peak to summit as there is a split in the path equidistant from both peaks.

Views will be enjoyed far and wide from either of these points, weather permitting we may even be able to pick up a few of the great whites that peruse the waters behind the breakers in Muizenberg.

We'll then make our way back past a cheeky little waterfall, time permitting.

Where to meet: Silvermine East car park. Go over Ou Kaapse Weg from the Constantia side, ignore the Silvermine entrance on your right and follow the road a little further looking for a small car park on your right.

What time: 9am start

What to bring: WARM TOP (party cloudy, windy and cool conditions are forecast), plenty of water, camera and myprodol for Riche.

Estimated Hike Time: 3 to 3.5hrs round trip.

See you there athletes.
